Ruby Dehkharghani

Ruby Dehkharghani (She/Her/Hers) is Director of Public Policy at AFA. In this role, she develops and leads strategy for engagement of federal agencies on regulatory actions; develops and maintains excellent working relationships with coalition partners, philanthropy allies, and key legislative, regulatory, and administrative staff; and provides subject matter expertise on policy positions to key partner organizations to advance shared policy goals. She also coordinates AFA’s Medical, Scientific, and Memory Screening Advisory Board. She has been with the Foundation since April 2023. Ruby has spent over 10 years working in medicine and health care policy with organizations such as Partners in Health. Prior to joining AFA, she worked in the Obama administration within the Office of Presidential Correspondence. She also helped to create a virtual health center while working at Partners in Health that would address the issues of health inequity. In her free time, Ruby likes to root for the Green Bay Packers, follow the latest fashion trends, and travel. Ruby received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Tampa and her graduate degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine.
