Clinical Research Trials


Clinical research trials are an important part of scientific research towards developing new treatments and cure for Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia-related illnesses. Volunteering to participate in a clinical research trial helps to advance the science surrounding Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia-related illnesses. According to the US Department of Health and Human Services, nearly anyone 18 years of age or older can participate in a clinical trial, including:
1. Individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease or another dementia-related illness
2. Family caregivers
3. Someone with a family history of dementia-related illnesses or a genetic predisposition of developing a dementia-related illness
4. Healthy individuals who have no symptoms or familial history of dementia-related illnesses
