2026 Making Memories
Presented by AFA’s Professional Leadership Council
December 2 @ 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm EST
Maison Close Restaurant | New York, NY

About Making Memories
Join New York City’s young professionals, community leaders, and advocates for an evening of cocktails, dining, and meaningful connection—all in support of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA).
Proceeds support AFA’s care, education, and support services for individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, as well as research toward better treatments and a cure.
This year also marks the introduction of the Martin Bodner Award, with Max Lugavere as its inaugural honoree.
Inaugural Honoree: Max Lugavere
Max Lugavere is a health and science journalist, bestselling author, filmmaker, and host of the The Genius Life podcast. His work explores the connection between lifestyle, brain health, and cognitive well-being, informed in part by his family’s personal experience with dementia.
Through his books, films, and podcast, Max has helped bring brain health to a broader audience.
Max will join AFA President and CEO Chuck J. Fuschillo, Jr. for a featured discussion about his personal journey, brain health awareness, and the role of advocacy in supporting families.
