Karen Mazzotta
Karen Mazzotta (She/Her/Hers) is the Director of Communications at AFA. In this role, she produces AFA’s quarterly magazine, Alzheimer’s TODAY; donor publication, Teal Times; and other Foundation publications, books and marketing material. Prior to joining AFA in 2019, she led media relations and communications for many health and wellness, mission-focused organizations, including Rodale Inc. magazine brands Prevention and Men’s Health; book authors; websites and businesses. Karen was drawn to AFA’s mission when a close friend and a first cousin were both diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, one with early onset. To stay centered, she enjoys spending time with cherished family and friends, walking her rescue Yorkie, Barney, and her Italian father-in-law’s eggplant caponata. She received her B.A. from St. John’s University.
