Alzheimer’s Foundation of America to Light the World in Teal for Alzheimer’s Awareness on November 2

More than 1,000 landmarks in all 50 states and 13 foreign countries signed up

(November 1, 2023) — The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA) is going to Light the World in Teal on November 2 to raise Alzheimer’s awareness. More than 1,000 landmarks in all 50 states and 13 foreign countries have signed up to participate in the initiative, which takes place during National Alzheimer’s Awareness Month. Teal is AFA’s Alzheimer’s awareness color.  

“Every site that participates in this global initiative is making a difference in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease- and the more that join, the more awareness we will raise about Alzheimer’s,” said Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr., AFA’s President and CEO. “We invite everyone to ‘go teal’ on November 2 to show their support for the millions of people living with Alzheimer’s.”

Sites interested in participating in the Light the World in Teal Alzheimer’s Awareness program on November 2 can sign up by visiting www.lighttheworldinteal.com or contacting the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America at 866-232-8484. There is no fee for sites to participate in the program.
