In-Person Activities and Dementia Resources in NYC

The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America offers a variety of dementia-friendly activities and resources in NYC. Our licensed, dementia trained social workers and other qualified staff are ready to help you wherever you are on your journey with Alzheimer’s.

Memory Cafe Monday

You are invited to join AFA’s Helpline Social Workers for an afternoon of conversation and socialization, craft activity and light refreshments! Memory Café Mondays take place every 1st Monday of the month, from 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm at AFA’s Education and Resource Center, 322 8th Avenue, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001. In this monthly in-person group, we will engage in different seasonal activities.

Advanced registration is required.

Teal Room Community Classes

AFA’s Teal Room Community Classes provide a variety of in-person therapeutic programs ranging from the creative arts therapies, Broadway singer performances, chair yoga, gardening classes, and more! AFA’s Teal Room Community Classes are always FREE and open to the public. These classes are a great option for anyone looking for dementia-friendly activities in New York City.

Classes are offered in-person at AFA’s Education and Resource Center in Manhattan, located at: 322 8th Ave, 7th floor, New York, NY 10001.
