As the Director of HR, Lelia Case (She/Her/Hers) is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of succession planning; talent, change, organizational and performance management; and training, development, and compensation. She has been with AFA since November 2022 and has worked as an HR professional her entire career in both profit and nonprofit companies, small local companies and large multi-national ones. Lelia is also an active member of SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) and the local NYC chapter. Outside of work, Lelia likes to lead an active life of workouts, international travel and watching her favorite English football team each Saturday. She volunteers her time with a local food program, is an active member of the New York Junior League and uses her HR skills as a volunteer with her sorority. Lelia holds a B.A. from Hunter College with a double major in media and political science. She earned her master’s degree in human resources management with an international focus from The New School.
