Webinar: Managing COVID-19: Special Issues Facing Families Affected by Alzheimer’s
February 5, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EST
Individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease face unique challenges in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. The effects of Alzheimer’s can make it harder for a person to notice or communicate discomfort, hindering family caregivers from spotting COVID-19 symptoms. Alzheimer’s may also pose challenges to following safety protocols such as mask wearing and hand washing.
This free webinar will discuss these challenges and detail:
- steps families should take to care for their loved one if they are suspected of having COVID-19
- what to do when a diagnosis is made
- how to support recovery
- the importance of vaccination for individuals with Alzheimer’s and their family caregivers
