Virtual Community Class: Nature Mondays

August 3, 2020 @ 2:30 pm EDT

Join AFA every Monday this August to get a taste of nature, from the comfort of your home!  This week’s program takes you to the Quogue Wildlife Refuge, a 305-acre nature preserve nestled in the Village of Quogue, NY. There are seven miles of nature trails located among a variety of habitats, including the Pine Barrens and deciduous forests, freshwater ponds, carnivorous and cranberry bogs, and the ecologically rare Dwarf Pines. The Refuge also serves as home to permanently injured, non-releasable wildlife, including a Bald Eagle, Red Fox, Bobcat, Owls, Falcons, and Hawks. Join Quogue Wildlife Refuge for a fun and exciting tour of the Fairy Dell Boardwalk. The Fairy Dell Boardwalk is a catwalk through beautiful tidal wetlands of the Quogue Wildlife Refuge. It traverses through the historic Fairy Dell Tract along the headwaters of Quantuck Creek.

This virtual community class will take place on our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/alzheimersfoundationofamerica.  Visit the page at the listed event date/time to take part.
