During this virtual community class, Marnie will guide you through an art experiential process which promotes fun, creative self-expression and spontaneity! First, you will be invited to create a design by arranging strips of tape on your paper or canvas. Next, we will use markers or paint to fill in the shapes or white spaces that are remaining with lines, color and perhaps imagery. Lastly, we will remove the tape slowly to reveal the unique design created by the tape! An optional step is to write within this design meaningful words or statements. These can be hopes, intentions or goals for the self, others close to you or universal wishes. No prior art making experience needed! Just bring yourself and the supplies listed below:

Supplies

• White paper (heavier than computer paper) or a canvas
• Masking or painters tape
• Markers (or any bold drawing materials) or paint (acrylic or watercolor)
• Materials for cleanup
• A marker or pen for writing (optional)
• If painting, you will also need paint brushes, a container of water and paper towels.
