Virtual Community Class: Art with Marnie

August 26, 2020 @ 2:30 pm EDT

Join Marnie Herlands, MS, ART-BC, LCAT for a virtual art therapy session! During this virtual class, you will be creating paintings utilizing the technique of action/drip painting, made famous by American born painter Jackson Pollock. Pollock was a well-known painter in the abstract expressionist movement. For this class, you will focus on this painting technique to have fun, be creative and express emotion. Some benefits include being present and learning to let go to tolerate the unexpected results in your art, relieving stress, and self-expression. No prior art making experience is needed! Just bring yourself, heavyweight white paper or canvas and paints in a variety of colors. Also, it will be helpful to have a couple of brushes in varied sizes, small plastic cups and a water container.

This virtual community class will be held through our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/alzheimersfoundationofamerica.  Visit the page at the listed event date/time to take part.
