Almost every first responder and health care professional will be called upon to assist someone living with dementia at some point in their career—either in the community or in response to an emergency situation such as wandering.
This conference will teach first responders, public safety experts, and health care professionals about:
• Emergency response techniques to aid those with cognitive impairments who wander
• Providing support and alleviating distress when responding to an emergency involving a person with dementia
• Developing skills to effectively communicate
2 continuing education (CE) credits available for licensed social workers! The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America #1898, is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program.
