Abstract Design is a mixed-media workshop inspired by work of American artist Jackson Pollack and other New York based artists of the Abstract Expressionist Movement.  Jodie Berman will teach our group about some of the history and techniques that inspire texture, movement, and emotion in the abstract artwork created in the 1940’s and 50’s.  Participants will be encouraged to explore a variety of materials that include acrylic paint, sea sponges, foam rollers, and yarn to create and enhance their individualized abstract design.
