Episode 4: Neuropsychiatric Symptoms: A Caregiver’s Perspective

During the course of their illness, the overwhelming majority of individuals living with dementia will experience at least one of the major behavioral and psychological symptoms: agitation, psychosis, depression, apathy, and sleep disturbances. When these symptoms manifest, it affects the person with dementia and their family caregivers as well.

This episode will discuss the impact on family caregivers, how they can help their loved ones when these symptoms emerge, and steps for self-care.
