🕊️ The Alzheimer's Foundation of America is saddened by the loss of former Supreme Court Justice, Sandra Day O'Connor, the first woman to serve on the US Supreme Court.
🩵 In 2018, O'Connor revealed in a letter that she had been diagnosed with the beginning stages of dementia, probably Alzheimer's disease. “While the final chapter of my life with dementia may be trying, nothing has diminished my gratitude and deep appreciation for the countless blessings of my life.”

It is incredibly sad to watch a formerly bright, intelligent and talented mind deteriorate. She was an important force, carving out her place in the history of our justice system.

I didn't know about these. I hope they're readily available at local post offices!
I just can't see buying any stamps other than the Alzheimer's semi-postal fund raising stamps.
Why were these stamps unveiled at Johns Hopkins? Are they the leading research center for Alzheimer's?
Thank you for sharing. The #Alzheimers Disease Research Semipostal Stamp raises both awareness AND funds for critical research! As of the end of September, more than 11 million Alzheimer’s stamps have been sold, raising $1.5+ million. 100 percent of the net amount raised goes directly to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to support research and medical discoveries to advance care and cure. You can purchase stamps online at The Postal Store®: store.usps.com/store/product/buy-stamps/alzheimers-S_564204.
All throughout November, Ferris wheels from coast-to-coast lit up in TEAL to recognize Alzheimer's AwarenessMonth. The Alzheimer's Foundation of Americawishes to thank every landmark across North America for their participation in this vital awareness campaign on behalf of those impacted by Alzheimer's and dementia.
